The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is a roadster built around the same Sherpa 452cc platform as the Himalayan 450, but its personality is quite different. Instead of being designed for rough terrain and adventure touring, the Guerrilla focuses on everyday road riding with a more compact layout, lower seat height, and sharper handling. It follows a modern roadster approach, combining minimalist styling with contemporary technology while retaining the mechanical simplicity that Royal Enfield motorcycles are known for.
Power comes from a 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 29.44 Kw of power and 40 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch. The engine delivers its performance across a broad rev range, with strong low- and mid-range torque that suits both city traffic and highway riding. Ride-by-wire throttle allows the motorcycle to offer Eco and Performance riding modes, letting riders choose between smoother throttle response or sharper acceleration depending on the situation.
Unlike the Himalayan, the Guerrilla uses 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, giving it quicker steering and a more road-oriented feel. The motorcycle is built on a steel frame with Showa suspension, consisting of conventional telescopic front forks and a linkage-type rear monoshock with preload adjustment. This setup is intended to provide stability through corners while remaining comfortable enough for everyday use. The suspension tuning is firmer than an adventure motorcycle, making the bike feel composed on smooth roads while still absorbing most surface imperfections reasonably well.
Braking is handled by a 310 mm front disc and a 270 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. Selected settings also allow the rear ABS to be switched off. The motorcycle weighs approximately 185 kg and has a seat height of 780 mm, making it more approachable than many motorcycles in the 400–450cc category. An 11-litre fuel tank keeps the overall dimensions compact, although it offers a shorter touring range than larger-capacity motorcycles.
The riding position is upright and neutral, with a wide handlebar and centrally positioned footpegs. This layout makes the motorcycle easy to ride in city traffic while remaining comfortable on longer weekend rides. The relatively low seat height also helps riders place their feet confidently on the ground, especially during slow-speed manoeuvres and parking.
The feature list includes a circular TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, Google Maps-powered navigation, call and message alerts, media controls, USB charging, and full LED lighting. Depending on the variant, there are differences in tyres, bodywork, accessories, and styling details, but the mechanical package remains largely the same across the range. Overall, the Guerrilla 450 combines a responsive liquid-cooled engine, road-focused chassis, modern electronics, and straightforward ergonomics into a motorcycle designed primarily for everyday riding on paved roads rather than off-road exploration.
