Royal Enfield, a brand known for its deep-rooted history in motorcycling, is stepping into the electric era with its new sub-brand, Flying Flea. This marks a major shift for the company, blending its vintage charm with modern electric mobility.
The journey began with an exclusive preview at Milan’s Officine del Volo, where Flying Flea first appeared before the official unveiling at EICMA. The event showcased the Flying Flea C6, an electric motorcycle designed to reflect Royal Enfield’s timeless style while incorporating state-of-the-art technology. With a lightweight forged aluminum frame, a magnesium battery casing, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-chip (SoC), the C6 offers smart connectivity, real-time navigation, and customizable ride modes.
Following this, Flying Flea was introduced to Indian audiences at Motoverse in Goa. This event, known for celebrating motorcycling culture, allowed enthusiasts to see the C6 up close. The combination of classic design and smart technology, including remote diagnostics and software-based performance customization, made it clear that Royal Enfield is embracing the future while staying true to its heritage.
The next stop was CES 2025 in Las Vegas, where Flying Flea was featured at Qualcomm’s booth. The C6’s integration with the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud platform highlighted its advanced software capabilities, enabling over-the-air updates and enhanced rider experiences. With smart navigation, adaptive ride modes, and remote monitoring, the C6 represents a new direction for electric motorcycles.
Set for launch in 2026, Flying Flea is already generating excitement among riders who want a mix of vintage aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. With this move, Royal Enfield is not just entering the EV space but shaping the future of motorcycling uniquely.
